Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo to turn pink this October

Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo to turn pink this October

This October, like nearly 40 countries around the world, Monaco will turn pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In collaboration with the charity ‘Pink Ribbon Monaco’ and in celebration of a new breast cancer screening center in the Principality of Monaco, Hôtel Métropole will show its support with a ‘Pink October’ theme running throughout the hotel from 02 to 31 October 2012.

The ‘Pink October’ transformation of Hôtel Métropole will begin at the path leading to the fountain and the entrance of the hotel which will be completely illuminated in pink. Upon entering the hotel guests will see pink touches scattered throughout all the public areas including The Bar and the Restaurant Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo. Le Salon des Princes will be adorned with sublime flower arrangements and the Lobby will be decorated with rose ornaments perched above the solarium.

To mark the occasion, the Bar Manager, Mickaël Bellec, has created the ‘Rose Passion Cocktail’: a cognac-based mix infused with Madagascar vanilla, white cocoa, a wild strawberry liqueur and dairy cream. The cocktail will be served in a pink shaker with strawberry candy. In addition the head pastry cook, Satomi Kanai, has designed a desert called ‘Pink’ made up of egg white, hibiscus jelly and a yuzu sauce.

The Pink October’ theme is in keeping with the Hotel Métropole’s ongoing artistic themes which are installed approximately every four months to transform the hotel throughout the seasons. The themes are designed by “Miss Rose”, Hotel Métropole’s highly talented in-house stylist and florist.

The charity Pink Ribbon Monaco was founded in 2011 by Julia Sperl-Kaukonen and Natasha Fros to support and raise money for breast cancer victims and to promote awareness of the disease in the Principality of Monaco and its surroundings cities. Pink Ribbon will host a press conference on the 3rd of October at the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo in the Salon des Princes to announce the purchase of materials for a new screening center at the Princess de Grâce hospital complex.

A Superior Suite at Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo starts from 360 Euros - tax and service included.

Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo was named "Best Hotel in the World 2010" at the Leading Hotels of the World annual convention, held in Tokyo on 19 November. Jean-Claude Messant, General Manager, was named as well during this event as “Best Host of the Year”.

Opened in 2004, the Hotel Métropole in Monte-Carlo was designed by the world famous interior designer Jacques Garcia who has created a true 21st Century palace. This contemporary and elegant hotel combines a subtle blend of its glorious past with Mediterranean tones. Thanks to Yoshi, Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, overseen by Jean-Claude Messant, has become a true gastronomic destination. Aside from Yoshi, the hotel offers its local and international clientele the Restaurant Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo – 2 Michelin stars – the Lobby Bar, the most buzzing space in the Principality, and the swimming pool restaurant, a haven in the heart of the hotel.

The Métropole ESPA Monte-Carlo joined the close-knit circle of ‘Leading Spas of the World’ soon after its opening in 2006, and offers a range of treatments using modern techniques as well as ancient therapies from around the world for the well-being of the face and the body. On 1st November 2012, Métropole ESPA Monte-Carlo will reopen having been closed whilst the pool area and the new Joël Robuchon restaurant are being renovated by the world’s most renowned fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The spa below the first floor will have a new selection of bespoke treatments inspired by the Ancient Greek Mythology theme chosen by Karl Lagerfeld to renovate the above premises.
