Loisaba Starbeds & Cottage, Kenya

Loisaba is a 61,000 acre private ranch and game sanctuary which offers several different accommodation options for clients.
An absolute must if staying here are the starbeds, which are luxurious double beds, pulled out onto a sleeping deck for the night, mosquito net down, romantic kerosene lamps lit, and simply the night sounds to keep you company.
There are accommodation options to suit each group, whether clients simply want to stay in the lodge, or whether they would like to have something totally exclusive.
Activities at Loisaba also suit a vast range of people, with day and night game drives, guided bush walks and bird walks, bush meals, sundowners, horse riding, camel safaris, mountain biking, quad biking river rafting, fishing, croquet, helicopter excursions, spa and massage, cultural visits and swimming pools.
It has 7 rooms, each with its own private deck and the same magnificent view.   The lodge has a swimming pool, tennis court, boules court and spa with massage facilities.
Loisaba House is an exclusive, self-contained private house with a cliff-top infinity pool.  Most of the furnishings have been designed and made at Loisaba.
Loisaba Cottage is approximately 9kms from the main lodge.   It is set back from the escarpment in beautifully landscaped gardens with a private swimming pool.
Kiboko Starbeds are 20 minutes’ drive from the lodge and overlook a waterhole.   Each Star Bed is designed on a raised, handcrafted, wooden platform partially covered with a thatched roof.  Homemade ‘Mukokoteni’ beds can either be wheeled onto the open deck for a night under the stars, or left under the shelter of the roof.    Each platform has an en suite bathroom, and a main shared dining / seating area with fully staffed kitchen.

Koija Star Beds are 30 minutes’ drive from the lodge and overlook the Ewaso Nyiro River.   They also have large open platforms with specially designed beds for sleeping out under the stars or, if you prefer, can be left under the roof.   Each platform has an en suite bathroom, and a main shared dining / seating area with fully staffed kitchen.
